Pleasure in life

by nesohu on Aug.18, 2010, under Uncategorized

I’ve been working really late these days…starting work at 8.10am and I can stay back in the office until the Muslims breakfast, air-conditions are shut and my body is just trying hard to hold every piece of my bones together.

But today after work, I went to Giant Hypermart to find some tidbits for my wife Irene. It’s already 10pm but yet I can see the place is full of people especially those that just finish their dinner. After grabbing a few stuffs into the basket I went to the cashier. Since today is one of those no-plastic-bag-or-20sen day, I refuse to pay just to get a bag. More importantly, why should I be using plastic bags when I get a kind Indian guy asking me, “boy, want a box instead?”

What a brilliant idea, the workers aren’t gaining anything for “recycling” the boxes. Instead, why not they just give it out like this kind man did for me. Best of both worlds huh. I don’t havta grab the plastics that I hate, and he don’t havta sort out the boxes after the lights are dim.

Coming home to my wife, she quickly grab the layer cakes like it’s her new precious LV bag, or diamond ring. She’s so adorable. I love you Choobee. :-*

Update on the Worldwide Photo Walk

by nesohu on Jul.19, 2010, under Uncategorized

Hi gang: Here’s a quick update on how we’re doing with the Worldwide Photo Walk:

The Numbers
Wow!!! We’re at nearly 1100 walks around the world, and by the time you read this, we’ll have over 26,000 walkers registered in walks. If you haven’t signed up for a walk, it’s not too late. Here’s the link to get all the details, or sign up for a walk.

The Shirt
We’ve got some really cool t-shirts for walkers and leaders this year (see above), and once again 100% of the profits go directly to the Springs of Hope Orphanage in Kenya(last year we raised over $7,000 to feed and cloth the children), and this year we’re hoping, with your help, to raise even more. Here’s a link to order yours today.

The Love
If we didn’t get another city, Scott’s Publisher Peachpit Press would still be shipping over 2,400 copies of either his Lightroom 3 book, or his CS5 book, all over the world, and that they would be willing to do this to support the walk, is just amazing , so do us a favor and check out their site here, or follow them on Twitter, or Facebook. They publish the very best books on Photoshop, Photography, and all the stuff we love, so please join me in giving them some big love, because without them, we couldn’t make all this happen. Thanks Peachpit (Nancy, Scott, Ted, and crew!!!).

It’s been the 4th day that I’m at the land of rising sun, and yet everyday I’ve been preoccupied with work and social study. The culture here is so different and there is a huge language barrier for me. Luckily my charm and good impression still helps me get through the days.

by nesohu on May.08, 2010, under Uncategorized

It’s been 4 full months since I last left Penang for a serious trip. This round, I came over to China for a business trip. Main purpose is to invite the Neoh, Leong, Liang Clansman to Penang for a world conference end of the year.

For today’s trip, we’re picked up by the President of Neoh Clan in GuangZhou (????????? ????and go to the Vice President’s office. These relatives treats us like VVIPs. Before we arrive at the office, there are dozens of phone calls coming in to ask when we’ll arrive.

We were then brought to ??’s office. There are other ????(Neoh’s) waiting there to greet us. And after a few hours of socializing, he shows us the room where he keeps all his awards and recognition. Being such a successful person, he personally walked us to his mansion that he built for both his sons. (continue reading…)
