The Green Rider

by nesohu on Aug.19, 2010, under Photography

When I was a child, I used to dream of myself having to ride a Harley Davidson one day. But the only bike I ever rode was the old Honda my housemate own. Looking through the photos I took in Ipoh, this picture capture my attention. After a little processing, I managed to get the rider to “pop out” from the frame. Here’s how I imagined it…enjoy

Ipoh Century Ride II

by nesohu on Aug.13, 2010, under Photography

To make sure we have enough rest and a wonderful time, the organizers gave us a bungalow up in the mountains. The weekend house is high above Bukit Kinding overlooking Ipoh town. The place is so huge I wished I can bring all my friends there. There’s even a huge outdoor jacuzzi that we didn’t managed to try out.

Scott Kelby’s Worldwide Photowalk – Melaka

by nesohu on Jun.19, 2010, under Photography

Scott Kelby is one of my favorite teacher of recent years. He has taught me not only on Photoshop techniques, but also inspired me to be a better person.

On Saturday, July 24, 2010, the whole world will be walking again with Scott Kelby, president of the National Association of Photoshop Professionals (NAPP) and #1 bestselling computer and technology book author, in the Third Annual Worldwide Photo Walk™.

Scott Kelby’s Worldwide Photo Walk is the world’s largest global social photography event in the history of photography itself. It takes place on the same day around the world where photographers of all walks of life and skill levels gather together, usually in downtown areas to socialize, learn new tips from each other, and explore their corner of the world through photography.

This year, I’d be leading a group of photographers from the center of Dutch Square all the way to the center of Malaka’s own Chinatown. Participants will plunge deep into Melaka’s history, beginning with the colonial experience in Dutch Square starting with A’Famosa, St. Paul’s Church and down to the Stadthuys. From there we’ll be walking towards the heart of Melaka’s Chinatown, starting with Cheng Ho’s museum moving through Jonkers Street and Chinese-Malay hybrid culture of the Peranakans along Jalan Tun Tan Cheng Lock. We’ll then continue our journey along Jalan Merdeka where we’ll see the new attraction to melaka – The Eye of Malaysia. Finally, we’ll finish at Dataran Pahlawan to review our photos and have our dinner.

Over the last 3 weeks, I’ve already received tremendous response from near and far. There are only 20 seats left at the moment, join us in Melaka this 24th July and I’m sure we’ll have a blast.[WorldWide Photowalk]
