Profile Photo

by nesohu on Nov.27, 2008, under Photography, Toastmasters

Hi guys,

It’s the middle of the day, and I can’t wait to attend my cousin’s wedding. After waiting for numerous years, my aunt/uncle finally get to drink the tea from their only daughter-in-law. So, before I leave for another wedding assignment, I’ll leave you with a profile photo that I’ve taken in Bali.

I was in Bali for a convention, after sharing some business tips with the Indonesian photogs, they help
“refresh” my portfolio photo with my new pins on. Enjoy.

There are tonnes to talk about the Toastmasters Semi-Annual Convention in Bali 2 weeks ago. While I’m busy sorting out photos for my other assignments, I’ll leave you with these few shots I loved.

Cirnelle Photoshoot (update)

by nesohu on Nov.26, 2008, under Photography

Just got this photo from my friend’s camera. Here’s how it looks like of me working behind the camera. You see the model laughing? It’s almost impossible to make this happy girl stops laughing.

Cirnelle Photoshoot

by nesohu on Nov.24, 2008, under Photography

Cirnelle, my fren from CERN came back for a 3-week long break. As she has never taken a “senior portrait” when she turns 21, hence I arranged a session with her at the beach while I try out the potential from my “new umbrella+Nikon CLS” combo. We were slightly late than plan, and only managed to capture a few nice shots in between jokes and jelly fish.

Lesson learn: Communication between photographers and their models is very important. That’s me writing of at 2am in the morning. Enjoy~

Cabal – The Game

by nesohu on Nov.17, 2008, under Uncategorized

If you are wondering why I have not been posting so frequent for the last 30 days…the answer is CABAL. It’s a multiplayer online game which is similar with the likes of Diablo cum Max Payne (FPS). When I got my computer like 3 months ago, any attempt to install has caused problem. But after I uninstall trail copy of Norton Internet Security, the installation is smooth. FYI, I’m using Kapersky (RM120/3 license) to protect my computer.

Installation and Updates runs smoothly and completed in like 2 hours. Before you start the game, you can choose from a handful of poverful characters – Warrior, Blader, Force Archer…The first few levels are a breeze…after playing 3 hours, I reached Level 6.

The Second day, I spent 6 hours in front of the computer and managed to get Level 14. What bout the 3rd day? – Down on Maintenance…. -_-” That’s the problem with server games, once there’s patch/maintenance, you can’t play the game offline.

Besides all the fun, another problem I faced is that CABAL is “Bots-friendly” compared to Maple. You can see from the two pictures below how Green Despair (Map) town looks like when it’s isolated, and when it’s full of bots with generic names.

As of last week, I’m already at Level 48 and here’s my character with Shadowsteel Armorsuit.
