As a photographer I’ve found that there are still some photos that is impossible for me to take. – My own wedding. For the past weekend, I’ve been spending quite some time on researching the bridal shops in Penang. Here’s what I’ve found.

Almost 50% of the bridal shops participate in bridal fair, or similar kind of display on shopping malls, convention halls (Sunway Convention) or stadium (PISA). Hence, at one point of time or another, you’ll find yourself sitting down and looking at what these studios have to offer. There might be huge discounts and plenty to offer, IF YOU SIGN UP NOW. That’s a big IF cause you can only be imagining yourself in the beautiful Cinderella dress.

Browsing through the list of Bridal Shops in Penang/Ipoh you’ll start to think, “How do we select from such a huge list???” Well, here are a criteria we used to decide:

1. Friends recommendation/ past personal experience
2. Location – Now who would want to drive all the way to Nibong Tebal for their w/day makeup???
3. Delivery – no one will want their photos delivered 1 month after D-Day.
4. Selection of gowns – like what I’ve mentioned earlier.
5. Price – what’s your budget???

How long does it take to finish survey all the bridal shops in Penang?

People say, “You need at least 3 whole days~!!!”
We say, ” 1 and 1/2 day will do”

After visiting more than a handful of shops you’ll noticed that there’s a pattern in your survey. Once walk in to any shops, they’ll observe the same customer service procedure (continue reading…)

11th  November 2008. This is a day that’s very special to me. This is the day that I’ve decided to give up my bachelor-hood, go down on my knees and propose to the girl that sacrificed everything, cheers me up, and encouraged me to achieved what I am today.

SHE has already seen through all my tricks and I need to squeeze through my brains to shock her. Without her knowing where and when I got the ring, and how the size fits her fingers nicely…well, I proposed to her in front of all my friends in my company.

Note: There might be a few parts that I made mistakes, but just bare with it for 5~7 mins.

Btw…isn’t that so “romantic” ??? Thanks to my friends who offered to call up the florist and bring it into the room. More wedding planning stories ahead.
