Hokkien New Year

My two cousins from Taiwan was still in Penang for their Chinese New Year break. It was a decade since they were back for such a long time. To let them see how we Penangites celebrate “Hokkien New Year”, I bring them to Chew Jetty where the prayers are done together by all the 600 residents in that village. Since the intervention by the local government, this place was flooded with 10,000 people.
This is one of my favourite shot. Details: D300 at ISO200, 18mm, 2.5seconds. Post processing done by The Hidden One.

Rejunevation

Ladies needs to be pampered once in a while. More so if she’s depressed or streesed out at work. After staying in this house for over 3 years, I only learnt how to prepare a Jacuzzi.
1. Fill the tub up with tap water. Duh! and no Duh!
Why? Because it’ll be too slow if you turn on the hot water only. Reason: The engine will pump the water out hot after being turned on for a while.

2. Get some rose petals. You can get it in bulks for a song for a visit to Cameron. Or in my case, I got it as a souvenir from a colleague of mine.

3. Placed the petals ON the bubbles.
Note: You can see here that I did it the opposite way…and hence “I think I made a mistake“.
