Nesohu 2.0

It’s 2 more months before my wedding and here I am with my wedding photos. I’ll save the explaination for some other days on how I get things done that fast. Else, the people in business will all go angry at me.

Simply say, the service DeSantia provides shocks me over and over. The photographers make photographs instead of just take them. Besides, the make up artist – cum – manager was quite a pleasant person herself. The staffs are well equiped and the service is worth it. While taking my photos, I did learn a few tricks here and there on how to serve my potential wedding customers next time. There’s much more than creating nice photographs, but to deliver it to the customers & see their happy faces.

Since visiting SPCA, Penang 3 months ago…we started to join their newsletter, facebook, and twitter (not!). Last month, they were having a photo contest for all the members in the newsletter group. I didn’t think twice about joining, but only submit my photo at the last photo. I was searching through my archieve and I found this photo of me with Yang2 that really calls out to win something.

In fact, if you don’t believe me…here’s a copy of the resized original. Well, Yang2 has always been close with me eventhough I only visits him in the weekends. Whenever I’m around, he’ll never leave my side. Even when I bring him out, he’ll never wander 5 feet way from me. If he stays with me, I doubt he’ll ever give me a “cave time/me time”.

Unfortunately during the prize giving ceremony, I came straight from my place and missed the chance to have Yang2 taking picture with his other friends. (Too bad ). But all the gifts are for him (except the shirt for me) – there’s Vitamins, Oral Hygenie and something for ticks, which Yang2 doesn’t have.

As like the other 499 contests that I’ve entered, they need a slogan. The phrase I used for this contest is:
“I felt in love with Yang Yang on my first sight. He’s cute and always smiling. I love you Yang.”

And I really do…don’t get night-mares again after some jack daniels ya

Back in November I saw this nice promotion by Tunes hotel in KLIA-LCCT. They are cheap, but comfortable. Peng Yew was telling me, “why not book one for our next convention?”, 6 months later, i find myself with 150 other Toastmasters from all over the region staying in Tunes, Kuching.

As all the double rooms are booked, I ended up staying alone in this interesting dorm. There have all the basic facilities you need – a power shower to relax your muscle, and a comfortable bed for an evening’s rest. Besides, I’m amazed by how Tony-san use IT to reduce cost of running a hotel business. The doors are controlled by RFID (Smart Card), Air-con credits can be bought down at the counter, and WiFI is available at a mere RM12. The tables are foldable for compact space and if you can see a tiny box beside the bed, yup, that’s a mini-safe controlled by 4 AA’s.

If you want some advice…just don’t take the aircon if you can stand it. 12-hours are just too much for me. I only used like 4 hours of credit.

I was busy again lately…work, contest, work, contest, work…holiday~! Yay… It’s the time of the year again for toastmasters in Malaysia, Indonesia and Brunei to meet and catch up on old times. This time, it’s done in Kuching, Sarawak. I’ll just leave you with a few photos before getting back to work.

Surprisingly, 1st and 3rd winners are from Penang. That shows how good Penangites are in inspiring and motivating speech.

Guess what? Pala a helpful friend, a good teacher, and a distinguished speaker from Penang…WON! Yes, another Penangite triumph!

Have you heard me complain about working late nights to get the website up and running? Well, after working with these wonderful people for 10 months, we finally managed to take a photo together. It’s kinda funny as all 5 of us are based in Penang.

Btw, I’m having a great time meeting people from Johor, Indonesia, Brunei and Sabah. These people have seen my work and appreciate everything that I’ve done for the community. That motivates me to continue serving for higher office, and there still is a lot for me to learn from them. Thank You Toastmasters.

After looking through my wedding album, I was impressed by how Jacky made the photos look so different making it into a book. So here are some photos I’ve worked on with the photos I’ve taken with Roxanne. Comments are more than welcome.

I realised that I was too foolish earlier keeping back from making album. I only spent like 2 hours making these templates, and I’m getting the hang of it. Stay tuned for more.
